Position: Volunteer Role Focus: Assist with Programme Activities and Community Engagement

Role and Responsibilities: As a Volunteer at Potential Kids, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children, young people, and families within the neurodiverse community. Your involvement will contribute directly to our commitment to building lasting connections and enriching lives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support various programmes and events such as workshops, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and educational sessions.
  • Promote inclusivity, understanding, and respect for individuals who are neurodiverse.
  • Assist with event setup and cleanup, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Engage with participants, offering guidance and assistance as needed to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with neurodiverse conditions.
  • Display empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance for scheduled events.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Note: This is an unpaid volunteer position. Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with further details provided during the application process. The cost of the DBS check, approximately £16-£22, will be the responsibility of the applicant, unless an agreement is made prior.
